BlackVal aka Bobby Johnson resides in Cambria Heights, Queens. BlackVal started out as a rapper at the young age of 16. Not long after, he put down the mic and picked up the drum machine and started producing. Then, under the watchful eye of Bad Boy’s “The Hitmen” Platinum Producer Nashiem Myrick he headed the team “The Marxmen”, where they produced and co-produced hits for greats, like Craig Mack, Capone n Norega, better known as CNN, The Lox and legendary rapper The Notorious B.I.G. Black Val had worked with Bad Boy Records for 4 years as the Marketing Director. BV would later become one of the biggest independent distributors for Cocaine City, The Come Up, SMACK DVD and many others across the U.S. and Japan. BV later became one of the biggest club promoters in New York City for The Gentlemen’s Club Perfection, HK, Taj, La Marina, Aspen and plenty others. Black Val’s work ethic is so impeccable he has taken his experiences to the next level. With siblings and close childhood friends in the music business like former Executive Producer and Senior Director of A&R for Bad Boy Records Conrad Dimanche, former Executive Producer and President of Bad Boy Records Harve Pierre, Platinum Producer Nashiem Myrick, the Multi-Platinum, 3x Grammy Nominee, NARAS Award Winning Producer Derek “D-Dot” Angelettie and President of RCA Urban Music and CEO of Bystorm Entertainment Mark Pitts.
